My love for Philippine Dragon Peel and desire to enjoy lumpiah more often inspired this air fries. The extra benefits of not frying lumpiia in oil is also a very good privilege. There are much less messes, and empty oil soup also earns reward points for being a healthier option.

Are the fried cubes exactly the same as the fried lumpiia? Absolutely not. However, it is crisp, delicious, and irresistible. The friend I shared with everyone gave two thumbs up and agreed it was very satisfying our desires.

While the fryer is great for preparing one or two servings at a time, you can also bake lumpiia if you need a meal for the whole family. When you crave lumpia and have insufficient time, all lumpia flavors are blended together in the Filipino lumpia skillet. Made with the help of fresh vegetables, pork and shrimp: This is the dinner my family makes every time.

Last time I made a batch of lumpiia, I freeze some to see if I can cook it later and just have lunch in the air fryer at once. It turns out that this is a wonderful idea – if I say so myself. The frozen lumpiia cooked chef is like fresh chunks in an air fryer.

To freeze a batch of chunks, roll the lumpiia as directed in the recipe and place it on a plate or tray. Keep the Lumpia’s tray in the refrigerator for a few hours until the Lumpia is strong enough to be transferred to a Zipclose refrigerator bag until ready to cook.

When you are ready to cook them, simply pop the frozen chunks into the air fryer, give them a spray that fades out with oil, and add a minute or two to the listed cooking time.

Mix all the ingredients except the eggs in a bowl and mix by hand. Once mixed together, cover it and leave it in the refrigerator for an hour (or up to 24 hours) before packing.

Unpack the block wrapping paper and cut it in half to form smaller strips. Carefully peel the wrapping paper and place about a tablespoon of filling on each filler. Roll them up as you like, then dip your fingers into the beaten eggs and seal the edges.

Set the roll aside until ready to cook. I found it easiest to roll them all into the assembly line and cook them in batches.

Preheat the fryer to 390°F. Gently spray the wrapped lump with oil and place the lump in a single layer with room in the air fryer. Cook on one side for 3 minutes, cook on each side for 3 minutes, then cook for another 3-4 minutes, until the ends turn golden and crisp.

Remove from the fryer and serve with your favorite dip.
