In our family, we really like coffee – a lot. We love cakes, too. We take frosting seriously. This coffee-flavored frosting is always a great choice for chocolate cakes as coffee and chocolate blend in one.

But don’t stop there! It makes the killer populate between almost any type of two cookies. If you are going to have a cup of coffee with that cookie, you can scrub it with coffee frosting. From 3-index peanut butter cookies to chocolate pudding cookies, we have a lot of cookies to choose from.

Coffee flavored frosting

To make this coffee-like fantasy frosting, you need the following ingredients:

  • instant coffee
  • water
  • butter
  • Powdered sugar
  • vanilla
  • Heavy cream

In my house, the cake frosting must be fluffy. At the end of the recipe, the purpose of the heavy cream splash is to create the fluffiest, creamiest frosting you make.

If you are a fluffy frosting fan, try fluffy, buttercream, perfect chocolate buttercream frosting. Creamy, not too sweet, absolutely perfect, it is indeed the best chocolate frosting I’ve ever tasted.

Fresh strawberries are one of my favorite fruits, and this frosting is absolutely full of strawberry flavor. I stuffed almost full pounds of fresh berries into this fresh strawberry frosting and you can taste the berries in every bite.

Coffee Cake Frosting Recipe

Mix instant coffee and water together and stir to dissolve. Place the butter in a mixing bowl and stir in an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add 2 cups of powdered sugar, one cup at a time. Beat until combined. Add the herbs and coffee and beat until well combined.

Slowly add the cream while stirring the frosting. The frosting should be light and fluffy. Sprinkle the icing onto the cooled cake.

Cook’s Note: I use one (.11 ounce) of instant coffee (coffee from a famous coffee shop) each column of every 1.5 teaspoon section listed in this recipe.

Feel free to add more powdered sugar to the frosting for thicker frosting or more cream to thinner frosting.
