  • chicken: In this recipe, boneless, skinless chicken or chicken breast is great. Large chunks of beef or shrimp can be used in this recipe, but cook them separately from the vegetables as they will cook at different rates.

  1. Prepare marinade (The complete recipe below) and marinated chicken for up to 4 hours.
  2. Add prepared vegetables to a large bowl and 3 tablespoons of marinade.
  3. Put the chicken and vegetables on the skewers.
  4. Roast Hawaiian chicken kabobs until cooked, brush with remaining marinade and rotate as needed.

remind: Always discard the remaining marinade in contact with the raw meat to avoid possible harmful bacteria.

  1. Prepare the chicken kabobs until step 3, then bake it in the oven to 375°F for 12-16 minutes, then blow it in and turn it halfway.
  2. Bake them for about 2 minutes for extra char grilling on the outside.

  • Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from splitting or burning.
  • For even cooking, cut the chicken and vegetables to equal sizes.
  • Leave a small amount of space between each piece on the string. This circulates the heat evenly and cooks everything at the same speed.
  • Chicken kabobs cook quickly; use a meat thermometer to make sure they reach 165°F without overcooking.
  • For best results, pull them out of the grill a few degrees early as they will continue cooking while they are resting.

Store leftovers

For best results, separate the remaining chicken and vegetables and store them in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Cut the leftovers and stir-fry them in rice or chicken and noodles.

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs Frozen Fine! Scrape the parts into zipper bags and freeze them for up to 1 month. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before heating on the stove or in the microwave.

  • Mix all marinade ingredients in a small bowl or freezer bag. Set aside ½ cup of vegetable mixture.

  • Add the chicken to the remaining marinade, make sure the chicken is well coated and allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high (400°F).

  • In a large bowl, mix the diced Bell peppers, pineapple and onion together and toss with 3 tablespoons of the reserved marinade.

  • Put the chicken and vegetables on the skewers.

  • Bake for 12 to 16 minutes, or until cooked, turning the skewers frequently. Brush the skewers with the remaining marinade while cooking.

  • During preparation, dip the skewers in water to prevent them from burning or burning on the grill.
