  • Meat and beans: Ground beef, chicken or turkey is perfect in homemade burritos. Buy or make homemade beans and freeze them for future recipes.
  • Seasoning: Buy or make homemade taco seasonings and adjust the ingredients the way you like. Plus, you can use it as a steak eff or an extra for seasoning Mexican corn.
  • cheese: Any chopped cheese composition, but the Mexican mixture, crumpled Cotija or Monterey Jack are great starts.
  • Tortillas: Large flour tortillas will stay in their best shape in this recipe. Tortillas can also be used, but using the same ingredients may be better as Tostadas.

The best burritos

Anything in the taco works in burritos too!

  • vegetable: Add diced tomatoes, brown or white rice, quinoa, pepper, chopped lettuce, thinly sliced olives, jalapeno or green chili.
  • Delicious toppings: Sour cream, avocado sauce and salsa.
  • To prevent the tortilla from getting wet, cool the beef mixture slightly before assembly and make sure to spread it on top of the feeding beans.
  • To prevent the tortilla from shattering, try heating it slightly.
  • To roll easily, use about ¾ cup of filling. Don’t overfill burritos!
  • For a perfect crispy look, don’t skip the steps that paint them into a frying pan.

Storage and heating

Wrap the remaining beef burritos in plastic and store them in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat them in the microwave or bake in the oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.

To freeze, simply wrap the cooled burritos in foil and transfer it to a Zippered freezer bag for up to 4 months. Thaw in the refrigerator.

The Beef Burrito recipe is an easy, delicious and full weekday dinner.

Prevent the screen from becoming dark

  • In a 12-inch skillet, add ground beef and yellow onion over medium heat.

  • Cook the meat until it is no longer pink and the onions are translucent. Drain any fat.

  • Add taco seasoning and prepare according to the data package instructions.

  • Stir in cilantro (if used) and remove from heat.

  • Lay flour tortillas and spread a layer of beans in the middle of each tortilla.

  • Put an equal amount of meat mixture and chopped cheese on each tortilla.

  • Roll up each tortilla style tortilla and enjoy the warmth.

  • Optional: Heat the non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the burrito seam side down and cook for 2-3 minutes or until slightly browned. Flip and repeat with the other side.

I made this recipe simple, but add sour cream, tomatoes, jalapeno or other favorites before scrolling if needed.
Remember that raw vegetables don’t freeze well.
Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
