Simple Creamy Watermelon Dip – Mel’s Kitchen Cafe

This high-protein creamy watermelon dip is made with Greek yogurt and fresh lime. There are many kinds of melon seeds that are refreshing!
This delicious mixture blends together in minutes, and the cool creamy flavor is perfect for juicy, crispy fruits. This recipe is not complicated at all, so let’s get it right!

5-Introduce fruit dipping sauce
The ingredients of this fruit dip sauce are definitely more than just the sum of its parts. Combined together, they become one of the most delicious fruits ever!
- Greek Yogurt: It’s important to use thick Greek yogurt for this dip, otherwise it’s too runny. Several flavors of Greek yogurt will work here – coconut, vanilla or lime.
- Fresh lime juice and enthusiasm: One lime is enough for this recipe – both easy on the juice (so it won’t leach the dip) and enthusiasm (too much or too deep lime can make the bitter taste bitter). Finally, you can add more flavors at any time.
- Vanilla extract: You don’t need too much, but a small amount helps enrich the flavor.
- brown sugar: Just like vanilla, you don’t need much, but it increases the depth of the flavor (it can help you get the sweetness if your yogurt is gently sweetened or unsweetened). You can replace brown sugar in coconut or palm sugar.
That’s it! Mix everything. If needed, add other lime juice, lime peel or brown sugar.

How to cut watermelon into sticks
Of course, you can cut the watermelon, but cutting it into sticks makes it easy to dip in! It’s so easy and messy than cutting it into a cube.
- As shown below, cut the watermelon into half width (like a hamburger).
- Take half and cut it into cutting boards.
- Trim the four round sides, leaving the cube shape behind.
- Cut the watermelon into thick strips, about 1 inch wide.
- Place the cutting board 90 degrees and cut strips perpendicular to the slices that have been made.
Depends on the waist and overall size of the watermelon you are using You might get 20 to 25 shots per half.

What to dip this fruit into
While watermelon is our top choice for this creamy fruit dip sauce, it is also perfect for:
- cantaloupe
- honeydew
- Golden Gourd
And, due to the cool, creamy and fruity flavor, it can be delicious with other non-candy fruits (such as strawberries, grapes, etc.).
This creamy watermelon dip is the perfect fun snack to whip during the summer months. This is great for your next Potluck or BBQ cooking. It’s so delicious that it will surely get good reviews!

Simple Creamy Watermelon Dipping Sauce
- 2 5 to 6 oz Container coconut, lime or vanilla flavor Greek yogurt
- 2 to 3 teaspoon Fresh lemon juice (see notes)
- 1 teaspoon Fresh lime peel (from about 1 medium lime)
- 1 teaspoon Brown sugar, palm sugar or coconut sugar (see notes)
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
- Watermelon, cut into pieces or sticks (see vision in the post for how to cut into sticks) – see the comments
-
In a small bowl, stir together the yogurt, lime zest, brown sugar and vanilla.
-
If needed, add other lime juice, lime peel or brown sugar.
-
Refrigerate until ready (up to one week).
-
Serve the refrigerated dip with watermelon (it’s delicious on any kind of melon seeds: honey, cantaloupe, etc.).
Lemon juice: You can add more lime juice to taste – remember that the more juice you add, the thinner the dip will be.
sugar: The exact amount of sugar depends on the sweetness of the yogurt you use. If the yogurt is already sweet enough, you can omit the sugar altogether – I like to add just a little bit of brown sugar for a deep flavor.
